Our talented team of engineers is led by alums of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who have great commitment to developing software the right way. Our leadership team has been together for over a decade and has consistently demonstrated loyalty to clients and a desire to deliver the finest services and products. Below are the summary bios of our key leaders.
Tom Christ, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Mr. Christ is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Genesant. He has provided outstanding leadership and strategic vision for Genesant since 1999 and is actively involved with client projects as well as proprietary product innovation. He has led the company's efforts to embrace new technologies and development platforms to provide clients with the optimal solution for their businesses.
Mr. Christ was a driving force in the development of Genesant’s patended Talk-to-Track diet and fitness tracking system. He was integral to the architecting of Genesant’s award-winning FitClick Platform that automatically creates white-label health and fitness web sites and related mobile apps. Under his stewardship, Genesant has been a pioneer in the health and fitness SaaS industry, building hundreds of white-label sites to date, including for prominent consumer brands like Men’s Health and Women’s Health. Mr. Christ was also a key player in the design and development of an innovative cloudbased, real-time messaging system that leverages some of the newest open source technologies available.
Prior to Genesant, Mr. Christ spent his entire professional career at PaineWebber Incorporated in New York City working as an investment banker in Corporate Finance and as a founder of the company’s proprietary trading division. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University.
Jim Mrowka, President and Co-Founder
Mr. Mrowka is the President and Co-Founder of Genesant. Since 1999, his steady leadership has been instrumental to company operations, business development and product innovation efforts. He has led many of the company's most-important business development initiatives, and has also stewarded company financial and marketing activities.
Mr. Mrowka was a key player in the conceptualization and product development process for Genesant’s innovative Talk-to-Track System and has had a prominent role in the company’s evolution into one of the leading SaaS providers in the online health and fitness industry. He was also deeply involved in the design of Genesant’s award-winning FitClick Platform, and spearheaded its distribution to hundreds of clients, including Rodale, Inc., the publisher of Men’s Health, Women’s Health and other leading health and fitness brands. Mr. Mrowka also led the product design efforts for an innovative cloud-based content curation system and as well as for Genesant’s proprietary billing and accounting system.
Prior to Genesant, Mr. Mrowka worked at Goldman, Sachs and Prudential Securities in New York City as a commercial mortgage-backed bond trader. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University.
Adam Croswell, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Croswell has worked at Genesant since 1999 and has been its CTO since 2002. Along with providing leadership for our technology team, he oversees the architecture and development of many of Genesant's major projects, including for the company’s workout planning and tracking system, the GTI Billing System and an electronic wallet and sportsbook platform.acked bond trader. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University.
Mr. Croswell has great expertise with a broad range of technologies across all layers of software and web development. He has architected complex database systems, developed sophisticated software applications and designed robust and scalable IT infrastructure. He has also been instrumental to the design and development of Genesant’s award-winning FitClick Platform and plays a leading role in company product innovation efforts, including with the company’s innovative Talk-to-Track diet and fitness tracking system.
Prior to Genesant, Mr. Croswell worked as a software engineer at IBM. Mr. Croswell has an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a concentration in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Paola Nasser Robey, Senior Vice President of Technology
Mrs. Robey has worked at Genesant since 2002. She has been the chief architect and engineer for many important client development projects and has played a leading role in the development of several of Genesant's proprietary systems, including the company’s diet planning and tracking software and FitClick Platform.
Mrs. Robey has an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a concentration in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business.
Dan Robey, Senior Vice President of Technology
Mr. Robey has worked at Genesant since 2004. He has been the lead engineer on many large client projects and has played an instrumental role in our efforts to innovate and leverage new technologies. He also leads our mobile application development efforts and plays a key role in many of our open-source technology projects.
Mr. Robey has broad knowledge and experience creating complex software applications, database systems and mobile applications. Specifically, he was a key player in the development of the Talk-to-Track System and he led the design and development of the FitClick Platform’s SaaS white-label site building system and related mobile apps. He also was the chief architect and led development of a comprehensive sportsbook platform, an innovative cloud-based content curation system and a sophisticated ecommerce user content collection platform.
Mr. Robey has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Dennis Torres, Senior Software Developer
Mr. Torres has a broad understanding of all major front-end, database and platform frameworks and has significant experience developing complete mobile and web front-end to back-end solutions using a widevariety of different technologies. Specifically, he was instrumental in the development of a comprehensive sportsbook and digital wallet system with real-time transaction handling and he led Genesant’s development efforts of an innovative cloud-based, real-time messaging system. Mr. Torres has also been a key player in the development of the mobile app capabilities of the Talk-to-Track System.
Mr. Torres has a B.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
